Your eyes and vision are important for your quality of life and we’re here to help you make the most of them.
We offer eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams, at our High Prairie location. Your examination includes the evaluation of your binocular vision, refractive error (glasses prescription), and eye health.
Your optometrist may also offer recommendations on how to improve or protect your eye health, as well as suggestions for any eyewear that can best meet your visual needs.
Alberta Health Care covers comprehensive eye examinations for children (age 18 and under) and seniors (age 65 and greater).
Your eye health is about much more than just your vision. We offer medical eye care services to help you keep your eye health under control.
Our medical eye care includes diabetic eye examinations, glaucoma testing, cataract assessment and macular degeneration and Plaquenil (Hydroxychloroquine) monitoring. We communicate these findings with your primary care provider for your ease and to help manage your health conditions.
Routine level dry eye assessment and management are available. We also offer emergency services, such as conjunctivitis management or foreign body removal. These services are currently covered by Alberta Health Care.
Our High Prairie optometrists are experienced in fitting contact lenses. We currently offer soft contact lenses in daily, monthly and limited extended wear modalities.
This service is an add-on to our comprehensive eye exams to reflect the increased time required to properly evaluate your contact lenses and contact lens-related ocular health.
Our full-service optical has a selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s glasses, as well as sunglasses. We offer clip-on, fitover, and prescription sunglasses. Our optician is an expert in helping patients find the best lens eyewear for their personal style, visual needs and budget.
She also has extensive experience in eyeglasses troubleshooting and repairs. If you’re not sure what to do about your glasses, bring them in. Our optician will be happy to help you out.
Emergency eye care services include anything that presents an immediate risk to your vision or eye health. From metal or contact lenses in your eye to pink eye, dry eye or sudden vision loss, we want to make sure you have access to eye care.
