Eye Care Services

Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Our eye care services include comprehensive eye exams. Your examination includes the evaluation of your binocular vision, refractive error (glasses prescription), and eye health. Along with your assessment, your optometrist will offer any recommendations on how to improve or protect your ocular health and suggestions for any eye wear that can best meet your visual needs. Your eyes and vision are important for your quality of life and we’re here to help you make the most of them. Alberta Health Care covers comprehensive eye examinations for children (age 18 and under) and seniors (age 65 and greater).

Medical Eye Care

In addition to comprehensive eye examinations, we offer medical eye care services. These include diabetic eye examinations, glaucoma testing, cataract assessment and macular degeneration and Plaquenil monitoring. These findings are communicated with your primary care provider. This provides important feedback for the management of your systemic health conditions. Routine level dry eye assessment and management are available. We also offer emergency services, such as conjunctivitis management or foreign body removal. These services are currently covered by Alberta Health Care.

Contact Lenses

Contact Lens Fitting

Our optometrists are experienced in evaluating and fitting contact lenses. We currently offer soft contact lenses in daily, monthly and limited extended wear modalities. This service is an add-on to our comprehensive eye examinations to reflect the increased complexity and time required to properly evaluate your contact lenses and contact lens related ocular health.

Optical Services (Glasses)

Our full-service optical has a selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s glasses and sunglasses. We also offer clip-on, fitover and prescription sunglasses. Our optician is an expert in helping patients find the best lenses and eye wear for your personal style, visual needs and budget. She also has extensive experience in eyeglasses troubleshooting and repairs. If you’re not sure what to do about your glasses, bring them in and our optician will be happy to help you out.
