Dr. Victoria Kennedy

Optometrist

Dr. Victoria Kennedy moved to the Peace Region in 2016 to join her husband, Dr. Waayenberg. Yet, her desire to be apart of tight-knit communities goes back beyond 2016. As a 4-H alumna, she has a background in animal agriculture. She also retains a strong interest in community involvement. Additionally, she was a member of Fresno State’s Smittcamp Family Honors College for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Pre-Veterinary Sciences and volunteered at the Student Health and Wellness Center.

Dr. Kennedy’s optometry doctorate is from Pacific University College of Optometry. While in optometry school, she volunteered with their “Amigos” Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and travelled twice to Guatemala and once to Cambodia to help provide eye care services.

Connecting with her patients is vital. Therefore, one of Dr. Kennedy’s favourite things about being an optometrist is having the opportunity to connect with her patients while sharing with them information on how they can protect their family’s eye health. She is passionate about building stronger communities and is thrilled to be a part of Beaverlodge.
