Comprehensive Eye Exams in Grande Prairie, High Prairie, and Beaverlodge

Your eyes and vision are important for your quality of life. We’re here to help you make the most of them with comprehensive eye exams.

Comprehensive eye exams are a part of maintaining healthy eyes, as well as ensuring that nothing is affecting your vision. Regardless of whether you’ve noticed any changes, it’s important to receive regular eye exams to catch any potential health concerns early on.

What’s Included in a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

Our eye care services include comprehensive eye exams. Your examination involves the evaluation of your binocular vision, refractive error (glasses prescription), and eye health.

Along with your assessment, your optometrist will offer any recommendations on how to improve or protect your ocular health and suggestions for any eyewear that can best meet your visual needs.

Should you want or need a contact lens fitting added to your eye exam, you can do so at an extra fee. Please make sure to let us know when you book your appointment, as it does take additional time.

How Often Should I Get a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

We recommend you receive a comprehensive eye exam every one to two years, depending on your age, health factors, and other risk indicators. More common exams might be recommended by your optometrist to keep track of certain conditions.

If you notice any changes in your vision, we recommend you book an appointment at your earliest convenience to ensure that the overall health of your eye is still good.

Are These Eye Exams Covered?

Alberta Health Care covers comprehensive eye examinations for children (age 18 and under) and seniors (age 65 and greater). For adults between the ages of 18 and 65, we recommend you check any health benefits to understand whether a portion will be covered or not.

If eye exams are included fully or partially in your health benefits, we offer direct billing with most major insurance providers to make this process as easy as possible.
